Friday, 8 June 2018

Hi all,
Just a quick reminder that our school tour is taking place next week, Wednesday 13th June. We will be back for the normal collection time of 2.20pm.

Children should dress appropriately for the weather on the day. Ensure your child has a drink with them. They can also bring treats with them. The usual school lunches will be available but children can bring extra lunch if they wish.

We have space for a couple of parents if anyone would like to join us on the day, just let me know J

Hopefully the sun will keep shining!

Sarah

Hi all,

This is a great opportunity to get active and become part of our local GAA club, Trinity Gaels.
GAA training for girls of all ages on Thursdays.

Trinity Gaels send a GAA coach to Belmayne every Wednesday to do PE with the children. It would be great if we could help them out by training and playing with their underage teams.

Any questions, please contact me at belmayneetgof@gmail.com

Thanks,

Gearoid

Image result for saving the planet
**HELP SAVE OUR PLANET**

Hi All,

Biodiversity week is next week and I wanted to make you aware of a few competitions taking place in the school.
  1. Photography competition - Encourage your child to get out into the locality and go on a little hunt to capture pictures of birds, pollinators, plants etc. Once you have decided on the photo you would like to enter sent it to Fiona at: belmayneetfiona@gmail.com
  2. Waste free lunch/picnic design -  This will be started in school, but the children may have a chance to bring it home to finish it at home. A waste-free picnic is a fun way to learn about food waste, packaging waste, and the importance of cutting down on what we throw away. They will be creating a poster, the poster may contain photos of waste free picnic's, with some information on how to stop food and packaging waste. Email entries to belmayneetfiona@gmail.com or send them into me and I will passed them on to Fiona.
The class will be learning about Birds next week. We will be going on a bird watching workshop on Monday 21st  @ 12.50 pm in Father Collin's Park. Can you make sure the children are dressed for the weather.

The school is also having a Spring clean day on the Wednesday. We will be taking part in a clean up of Father's Collins Park.

Thanks,
Sarah
